In July 1995, Srebrenica became the site of one of the darkest chapters in recent history, where thousands of Bosniak Muslims were killed by the Army of Republika Srpska and associated paramilitary forces, leaving families and communities forever changed. This project examines the Srebrenica community today, exploring how memory and history coexist with everyday life. Through photographs, personal artifacts, and stories, it reflects both on the lives lost and on the resilience of those who continue to live, remembering and moving forward. Life carries on, yet the shadows of memory remain, shaping identity, relationships, and the ongoing narrative of the town.
